Anne Krook -- Save the date
Concerned about getting a job after graduation? Pick up key strategies for job searching from nationally known consultant Anne Krook, formerly of Amazon. Krook, who graduated with a Ph.D. in English, knows what it takes to transition from academia to the "real" world -- she's done it personally and now she helps students do it too.
- 4-5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, in 262 RSC: "Entering the Job Market with a Humanities or Art Degree." Note: This event is geared toward undergraduates, but graduate students are welcome. This event is sponsored by the Dorothy and Bill Cohen Honors College and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
- 9 a.m.-noon Friday, Nov. 11, in RSC Shirley Beggs Ballroom: "Non-Academic Job-Search Mechanics for Graduate Students and Postdocs." This event is sponsored by the Graduate School and the Career Development Center.
Graduate students who attend the morning Nov. 11 workshop can win a private career counseling session with Krook, so make sure you bring your resume. The slots, available by raffle, will occur between 3-5 p.m. that day.
