In remembrance of WSU student Rowena Irani, who died Tuesday, Oct. 4, activities are being coordinated to celebrate her life and passion for helping others. From Wednesday, Oct. 19-Friday, Oct. 21, Student Involvement and friends of Irani are asking people to create a memory card that will be compiled into a book for her family. In addition, a drive is being held for the Wichita Children's Home, where Rowena worked and which held a special place in her heart. We will collect hygiene items, including toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tampons and pads, disposable razors, lip balm and combs/brushes. To make a memory card or to donate items, stop by the Office of Disability Services, 203 Grace Wilkie Hall, or Student Involvement, 216 RSC. For more information about these activities, contact Student Involvement at 978-3022 or getinvolved@wichita.edu.
