Empty Bowls Chili Cook-Off is Saturday, Oct. 22
In 2015, more than 700 people attended, raising more than $16,000. This year, organizers hope to welcome 1,000 guests and raise $25,000 for the Kansas Food Bank. Guests select a handmade ceramic bowl to keep and will choose from more than 50 varieties of chili (including vegan and vegetarian chilies) as well as soup. A silent auction of fine ceramic art will also be part of the fundraising effort.
Empty Bowls Wichita 2016 is co-sponsored by WSU Ceramics Guild, WSU School of Art, Design and Creative Industries, Ulrich Museum of Art, KMUW and the Kansas Food Bank.
