Faculty Senate meeting highlights
- Assigned review of Faculty Senate membership definitions, review of Policy manual Chapter 4 and 5, and possible combining of Senate committees to the Rules Committee.
- Assigned review of FAR and T and P Dossier forms, and the review process of the Provost to the Faculty Affairs Committee.
- Assigned discussion of SEM Goal 6 to Academic Affairs Committee (identify programs for growth).
- The Senate members spoke with HLC Chairperson regarding role of faculty in shared governance at WSU.
- Received update from Athletics Director and Faculty Athletic Representative regarding academic achievement for athletes.
- Received update that WSU will become a Tobacco Free Campus as of July 1, 2017.
