International Education Week presentation -- 'No, I am not a terrorist!'

Join the Office of International Education for International Education Week's keynote speaker, Zohra Sarwari at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, in Hughes Metropolitan Complex. Sarwari's talk is "No, I am not a terrorist!" Tickets are available in the University Bookstore. Tickets are free for students with WSU ID, and $3 for faculty, staff and the public.

Sarwari has been seen on mainstream TV, including CBS and FOX News.

As an orthodox Muslim, Sarwari has faced many challenges. Her passion is to educate others about diversity using humor and personal experiences that leave her audiences transformed.

Her speeches promote dialogue and foster tolerance toward people of all races, religions and backgrounds. Her speeches are designed to be inspirational and motivational.

This program does not promote or denigrate any specific religion, and is intended as the first step in shining a spotlight at the negative stereotypes being broadcast daily on radio, TV and the internet.
