* EWB (Engineers Without Borders)-USA Wichita State chapter is seeking faculty mentors. Join us from 6-7 p.m. today (Friday, Oct. 28) on the second floor of Devlin Hall, to learn how you can contribute to our upcoming clean water projects in Uganda through EWB. We are seeking mentoring help from faculty with fundraising, event-planning, marketing and campaigning expertise.

* The volleyball team will host Northern Iowa at 7 p.m. today (Friday, Oct. 28) and Drake at 7 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, Oct. 29) at Charles Koch Arena. Admission to all WSU sporting events is free for students with a WSU ID. For tickets, call 978-FANS (3267).

* Celebrate the 26th annual Songfest at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Orpheum. Join us as we close out Shocktoberfest with fun, music and a little bit of competition. Admission is free for students with WSU ID. Tickets are $10 for the general public, and $5 for children 12 and under.

* Dining Services invites you to take a survey anytime now to Wednesday, Nov. 9, and let them know how they can better serve you. Those who participate will be entered into a drawing for a two-in-one tablet from the University Bookstore. Go to http://vcil.cc/sw3z7rz to take the survey.

* The National Science Foundation Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) solicitation for the RII Track-2 Focused EPSCoR Collaborations competition for FY17 is now available at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?5155. For FY 2017, proposals for RII Track-2 FEC competition must promote collaborations among researchers in EPSCoR jurisdictions on the single topic: Genomes to Phenomes. Letters of Intent are required and due Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017. Proposals are due Friday, Feb. 10, 2017. For assistance, contact the Office of Research at 978-3285 or proposals@wichita.edu.

* Parking lot 21 directly north of Marcus Welcome Center and Woodman Alumni Center will be closed effective Monday, Oct. 31. Temporary parking will be available in the new lot directly north of lot 21, which will only be accessible from the new drive off of 21st Street. A temporary sidewalk has been constructed along Mike Oatman Drive to access the buildings from the temporary lot.

* New password requirements went into effect for WSU on Wednesday, Oct. 26. All passwords are required to have one capital letter, one lowercase letter and one number.
