Cultural anthropologist to present lecture

The David and Sally Jackman Scholarly Lecture Series and Department of Anthropology will host sociocultural anthropologist Richard Werbner, professor emeritus from the University of Manchester. Werbner carried out extensive field work in Botswana and Zimbabwe, which he will discuss in a lecture titled, "The Poetics of Wisdom Divination: Renewing the Moral Imagination," at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, in the CAC Theater. His documentary, "Caught-in-Between" will be shown at 5 p.m., in the CAC Theater, with a discussion to follow. The documentary was shot on location in Botswana's Moremi village.
