Reminders, deadlines and events
* The deadline to submit the Vice President for Student Affairs candidate evaluation forms is 5 p.m. today (Thursday, Nov. 3).
* WSU students can get a free flu shot from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Thursday, Nov. 3) in the Shocker Dining Hall foyer. Faculty and staff can get a flu shot for $25.
* The fall 2016 Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Employer Symposium will be held from 2-3:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Nov. 3) in the CAC Theater. The seminar will feature Shocker graduates and their supervisors offering advice on how to get a job after college, what they're doing in their careers and what they look for in job candidates.
* The Council of University Women (CUW) will present "Red, White and Wu: Honoring Our Veterans," from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, in 233 RSC. Lunch will be $7. The first 20 service members to register will receive a free lunch by contacting Deanna Carrithers at 978-5932 or deanna.carrithers@wichita.edu by 5 p.m. tomorrow (Friday, Nov. 4). * The third faculty development seminar of the year will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, in 156A Media Resources Center. This seminar was designed especially for new faculty, and will feature Michael Flores, assistant director of the School of Accountancy in the Barton School of Business.
* The Postal Service has announced price changes to take effect next year, following the holiday season. The changes, if approved by the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC), include a 2-cent increase in the price of a First-Class Mail Forever Stamp and a 3.9 percent price increase in Priority Mail.
