Artist on hand for Ulrich "Television" exhibit

Philadelphia-based artist Odili Donald Odita will discuss his most recent work, part of the "Ulrich Project Series: Television," at 4 p.m. today (Thursday, April 9) in 210 McKnight Art Center West (School of Art and Design) on the WSU campus. A reception for the artist immediately follows at 5 p.m. at the Ulrich Museum. The events are free and open to the public. Nigerian-born and Ohio-raised, this Philadelphia-based artist draws upon multiple visual sources for his work. He appropriates and reinvents from television test-band patterns and mid-20th century wallpaper as well as from memories of landscapes both local and global. A reception for the artist immediately follows at 5 p.m. at the Ulrich Museum. Both events are free and open to the public.
