* Rising comedian and actor K-Von will present a show at 7 p.m. today (Friday, Nov. 4) in the CAC Theater, as he retraces the roots of his family's mixed Scottish and Middle Eastern heritage and discovers dancing, food, clothing and traditions in a hilarious new way. Admission is free to WSU students with Shocker ID, $3 faculty/staff, and $5 general admission.

* The men's basketball team will host Augusta University in an exhibition game at 2 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, Nov. 5) and the women's basketball team will host Cameron in an exhibition game at 2:05 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, in Charles Koch Arena. Admission for students is free with WSU ID, although the free tickets for the men's game had to be picked up earlier this week.

* Frank Rokosz, associate professor of Human Performance Studies, will offer a free adult CPR/AED Clinic to staff, faculty and students at 1 p.m. today (Friday, Nov. 4) in 134 Heskett Center. No prior registration is required. Learn how to perform CPR, use an automated external defibrillator (AED) resolve a choking problem and perform an initial assessment of a person who may need first aid. No Red Cross or American Heart Association certification will result from your participation.

* WSU ShiftSpace will host its ninth annual wearable art fundraising event Project Run-A-Way from 6-10 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, Nov. 5) at McKnight Art Center. All proceeds benefit student awards and WSU ShiftSpace at 416 S. Commerce. Tickets are $10 for WSU students, $20 general admission and $30 reserved seating. * The Capitol Graduate Research Summit (CGRS) and the Graduate Research and Scholarly Projects (GRASP) are WSU's two university-wide research symposia open to graduate students. * Sophomores and juniors in engineering, mathematics, natural sciences and psychology are encouraged to apply for the prestigious Goldwater Scholarship. Each scholarship covers eligible expenses for undergraduate tuition, fees, books and room and board, up to a maximum of $7,500 annually. Each university may nominate up to four students for consideration by the National Goldwater Scholarship competition. The nominees from WSU will be determined through an internal competition with a deadline of Friday, Dec. 2.
