Reminders, deadlines and events

* Wage & Hour training will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, in 262 RSC. There have been some changes in the FLSA rules that all supervisors, timekeepers and administrative assistants need to know. Go to the MyTraining link on the MyWSU faculty and staff page to enroll.

* The Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes is celebrating Election Day today (Tuesday, Nov. 8). We will be open until midnight and the election returns will be aired on our screens. Enjoy 20 percent off all Starter menu items along with your favorite beverage.

* Paris-based artist, designer and programmer Cedric Flazinski will present "Normal, Like Downloading a 20kb Sweater," at 6:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, Nov. 8) in the CAC Theater. A reception will precede the talk at 5:30 p.m. at the Ulrich Museum of Art. Admission is free. The talk is presented in conjunction with the Ulrich exhibition "Coded Couture," on view through Sunday, Dec. 4.

* Colonial Life will provide free benefit counseling sessions to all employees to discuss the new 2017 health benefits and give you an opportunity to learn about open enrollment (ending Wednesday, Nov. 30) for our new accident, cancer, critical illness and hospital confinement insurance benefits. Personal sessions will be available from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. today (Tuesday, Nov. 8) 256 RSC, and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, Nov. 9) in 314 RSC. * Join the Office of International Education for International Education Week's keynote speaker, Zohra Sarwari.
