Human Performance Lab announces Exercise Science Sports Camp

The Human Performance Lab has announced its Exercise Science Sports Camp for athletes in sixth to 12th grade, who want to know and understand the physiology within the body during exercise and performance. This camp, from Dec. 19-22 in the Human Performance Lab at the Heskett Center, will be informative, interactive and innovative.

The athletes will be presented with the opportunity for a higher level hands=on experience as well as tips and techniques to be the best athlete they can be. Each day will highlight and focus on a special component of sport including body composition, agility, strength and balance.

The camp has only 20 slots and will be held in two sessions (10 athletes per session): Session 1 - 8-10 a.m. and Session 2 - 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The athletes will come to one of the two sessions for the duration of the camp.

The fee is $60 and registration begins tomorrow (Wednesday, Nov. 9). To sign up email Human Performance Lab Manager Bobby Berry at bobby.berry@wichita.edu. Please include name and age of athlete in the email; waivers will be filled out on the first day of camp.

Payments must be in full and be paid on or before the first day of camp. Checks can be made out to Human Performance Lab.
