The holidays have come early. WSU's Human Performance Lab will offer DEXA scans at the discounted rate of $50 as a gift to all WSU staff and faculty during November. The regular price is $100, so you save $50. A dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) scan, also called a bone density scan, is a common technique used to measure bone density. This completely painless procedure is easily performed and exposes the patient to minimal radiation. The DEXA machine also analyzes body fat percent and lean muscle mass.
