Reminders

*Art students are milling about Henrion Gym and its sculpture studio from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. today (Thursday, April 16) and 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday, April 17, putting up their works for Friday's CRIT-O-Rama, an annual art critique hosted by the School of Art and Design. Students will hang work on Thursday, and on Friday be treated to a cookout on the Henrion lawn, followed by three hours of critiquing and ending with the "Critties" Award Ceremonies.

* Exploration Place is offering special discounted admission prices to all state employees, including WSU faculty and staff, for the international traveling exhibition "Whales/Tohora" today (Thursday, April 16) through Sunday, April 19. You must present current WSU ID. The offer is good for up to five people. The prices are $13 for adults (16-64), $11.50 for senior adults (65 and older), $9 youth (5-15), $2 children (2-4) and free for under 2. This price includes admission to Whales/Tohora and to Exploration Place's permanent exhibits: Flight, Kansas, Kids Explore and Tots' Spot.

* Swim lessons will begin Tuesday, May 5, in the Heskett Center. Summer swim lessons will begin June 1. Class size will not exceed five swimmers per instructor. * The Wichita Jazz Festival will feature college and high school big band and combo performances from 8 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday, April 17, in Miller Concert Hall. Call 978-3233 for ticket information.

* On Saturday, April 18, campuses around the nation are sponsoring a Focus the Nation Event with town hall meetings on a Just and Clean Energy Future. WSU will host a panel of experts (including local politicians, the head of Wichita Environmental Services, researchers on clean energy and the mayor of Greensburg) from 6-8 p.m. in 208 Hubbard Hall.
