* WSU Ventures will host a National Council of Entrepreneurial Tech Transfer (NCET2) webinar from noon-1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, in the Devlin Hall Innovation Hub. The webinar will highlight the technical and scouting needs of NCET2's Corporate Selection Committee for its University Startups Conference and Demo Day. * Provide a Christmas gift for a local family through the Salvation Army's Angel Tree and Star of Hope programs. If you are interested in sponsoring a family, stop by one of the two trees in the RSC in the University Bookstore and near the Information Desk, and choose your angel or star off the tree. Bring it to the front desk of the University Bookstore to sign up to sponsor that family. Gifts are returned to the bookstore once they are purchased. * The Office of Research offers several internal grant opportunities. Learn how to improve your chances of obtaining these grants from a panel of Faculty Support Committee members from 3-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, in 142 RSC. The panel will outline grant opportunities and how to apply, discuss the role of the Faculty Support Committee in regard to internal grant funding and what they are looking for in applications. * Applications for the John A. See Innovation Award will be accepted now to Wednesday, Feb. 1. The award was established in December 2013 by John A. See to support prototype development, which may include development of products in engineering and science, development of life-enhancing therapeutic products, creation of application of new knowledge and artistic ventures.
