Here are highlights from the Nov. 15 Unclassified Professional (UP) Senate meeting:
- David Moses, WSU general counsel, gave an update on the new concealed carry weapons policy, which will go into effect on campus July 2017. To view the weapons policy documents, go to http://www.wichita.edu/weaponspolicy.
- The UP Senate Constitution is being updated to better reflect the mission and role of the senate. UPs will receive the updated constitution via email soon and will be asked to vote for or against the updates. Please take the time to vote.
- The fall general meeting for unclassified professionals will be held from 3-5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, in 211 Hubbard Hall. A notice including confirmed speakers will be posted soon.
- An unclassified professionals open forum will be held 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, to allow all UPs to provide input on issues concerning them as UPs. Location TBA.
