Reminders, deadlines, events and Shocker Blast

* The Office of Human Resources continues to streamline its processes. As a part of this effort, a change has been made to the PeopleAdmin (PA) approval workflows. This recent enhancement to PA workflows transfers the FLSA approver (Sarah Hunter) and HRIS Reviewer approver (Dana Hess) ahead of the Budget Officer/Principal Investigator. This will enable all editing to be done up front and will speed up the approval process to better serve the university on Requests to Fill and Hiring Proposals. All other approvals remain as they were. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?5234 for more information.

* The WSU Red Cross Club will host a blood drive from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. today (Monday, Nov. 28) and Tuesday, Nov. 29, in Shirley Beggs Ballroom, third floor, RSC. Donors can schedule their appointment by visiting http://www.redcrossblood.org and entering Sponsor Code: Wichita State. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?5233 for more information.

* WSU faculty, staff, students, partners and enthusiasts are invited to attend the 2nd annual WSU Ventures Innovation Awards, a celebration and acknowledgement of individuals and programs that have adopted and advanced the Innovation University concept. The event will be held from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, in 142 RSC. RSVP at https://goo.gl/forms/FQmmVpbDAM98GMFG3. Contact Tracee Friess at 978-5597 or tracee.friess@wichita.edu for questions.

* The Rhatigan Student Center has teamed with Meritrust Credit Union to install an ATM in the north entryway of the RSC. This is a dispensing ATM only; it does not allow for deposits.
