School of Performing Arts Theatre Program to present 'Other Desert Cities'
The play is being directed by guest artist John Boldenow.
The story revolves around Brooke Wyeth, who returns home to Palm Springs to celebrate Christmas with her parents, brother and aunt. She announces she is about to publish a memoir revealing family secrets that creates a family crises. This play is a thought-provoking examination of contemporary life.
The cast includes performance majors Jessica Curtiss as Brooke, Andi Lee as her mother Polly Wyeth, Anthony Valdez as her father Lyman, Lance Vaillancourt as her younger brother Trip, and design major Valerie Vulgamore as Polly's sister Silda.
The design team includes student designers Kenneth Stephens (set), Alexie Pearce (costumes), Brandon Riney (lights) and performance major Mariah Clements (props and set dressing). The management team includes theatre majors Remy Lierz (stage manager) and Mary White (assistant stage manager).
