The 11th Annual Lambda Alpha National Anthropology Honor Society Student Symposium will be held Saturday, April 18, in 107 Devlin Hall. Admission is free. The event begins at 8 a.m. with coffee and doughnuts. The symposium will open with an introduction at 8:30 a.m. and presentations follow immediately after. Papers are presented throughout the morning with a break for lunch at about 11:30 a.m. Presentations will resume at 1 p.m. and continue until about 4:30 p.m. The symposium is a student conference comprising papers and presentions and film presented by students in anthropology. The subjects covered include sociocultural, archaeological and biological anthropology. By 4:30 p.m., the annual Best Student Paper Award will be announced followed by closing remarks. All attendees are encouraged to obtain a ballot at the conference room entrance so they can vote for their paper of preference.
