Reminders, deadlines and events
* The Department of Human Performance Studies will hold its 13th Annual Chili Cook-off and Student Appreciation Day tomorrow (Thursday, Dec. 8) in the Heskett Center lobby. Everyone is welcome to enter the event by bringing a crock-pot of their chili. Those who just want to taste chili need only bring a canned food item (or $2) to be donated to the Kansas Food Bank. Judging starts at 11 a.m., and general tasting begins at 11:30 a.m. Door prizes will also be available for students. * Buy your holiday cards this year from Wichita State's AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) student group. They are sellihg unique cards designed by members of the organization for $1-$5 from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Dec. 7) and tomorrow (Thursday, Dec. 8); and Monday through Thursday, Dec. 12-15, on the first floor, RSC. * The Office of Admissions is hiring student tour guides, also known as Shocker Navigators, to aid in the recruitment process of prospective students. Shocker Navigators acclimate campus visitors and their families to WSU by relaying important information about the university during their official campus visit tour. Tours typically take place between 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday and some weekends, so availability during those time frames is desired. * Feeling stressed? Schedule a massage! As part of Final Frenzy, Campus Recreation is offering a reduced price on its massages. From now to Friday, Dec. 9, melt your stress away by booking a 60-minute Swedish massage for only $30.

* The Campus Post Office invites you to send a letter from Santa. Each letter costs $1.25, and it includes a special envelope with postage. The letter will be sent to Santa Claus, Indiana, for a special pictorial postmark and then sent to the address on the envelope. The last day to purchase the letters is Wednesday, Dec. 14.
