Reminders, deadlines, events and Shocker Blast

* The Office of the Registrar will be closed from 11:15 a.m.-1:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, Dec. 14) for staff development. For registration questions, students can contact the WSU OneStop staff in 122 Jabara Hall or 1-855-WSU-1STP (978-1787).

* To ensure all financial processing is completed for December by the Dec. 21 holiday shutdown, ICDs and purchase orders must be received and approved by the Purchasing Office by 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, and Inter-Organization Transfer Documents must be received by Financial Operations Office by 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16. Travel reimbursements must be final and approved by 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16. Transactions received after these dates may not be processed until January 2017.

* The Campus Post Office invites you to send a letter from Santa. Each letter costs $1.25, and includes a special envelope with postage. The letter will be sent to Santa Claus, Indiana, for a special pictorial postmark and then sent to the address on the envelope. The last day to purchase the letters is today (Wednesday, Dec. 14). * Support the vision of the late Nicholas Pronko, WSU professor of psychology, with a gift to the Holiday Card Scholarship Fund. More than 50 years later, the student scholarship program has grown to award four annual scholarships of $1,000 or more each, with the potential to do much more. * The week of Dec. 19, requisitions are due by noon Wednesday, Dec. 21, and checks will be released on Thursday, Dec. 22, from the WSU Foundation.

* Buy your holiday cards this year from Wichita State's AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) student group. They will sell unique cards designed by members of the organization for $1-$5 from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Dec. 14) through Thursday, Dec. 15, on the first floor, RSC.
