Reminders, deadlines, events and Shocker Blast
* The Office of International Education will be closed from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. today (Friday, Dec. 16) for staff development.
* The WSU women's basketball team will host the Shocker Women's Classic today (Friday, Dec. 16) and Saturday, Dec. 17, in Charles Koch Arena. Wichita State will host Abilene Christian at 7:05 p.m. today (Friday, Dec. 16) and Incarnate Word at 2 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, Dec. 17). For tickets, call 978-FANS (3267).
* Final grading for fall 2016 courses is open. Faculty can access the Banner 9 grading form via the Teach/Advise tab in the myWSU portal. Grades for any fall course can be entered during this grading period. Grades are due by 10 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20. A grading email with further details was sent to faculty and staff who are flagged as eligible instructors in Banner. Questions about grading can be directed to the Office of the Registrar at 978-3090.
* The University Bookstore invites you to a Stuff the Bag event from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, Dec. 17). Take 20 percent off any WSU imprinted item that you can fit into our bags -- one bag per paying customer.
* Bring your dog to the fourth annual Puppy Paddle to the Wiedemann Natatorium in the Heskett Center. Dogs can splash around in the water, play catch and swim with their owners from 10 a.m.-noon tomorrow (Saturday, Dec. 17). Treats will be provided and all donations will be given to benefit animals in need.
* Support the vision of the late Nicholas Pronko, WSU professor of psychology, with a gift to the Holiday Card Scholarship Fund. The scholarship program has grown to award four annual scholarships of $1,000 or more each, with the potential to do much more.
