* The LAS Advising Center will close at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday, Dec. 21) for staff development. The LAS Advising Center will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3. For walk-in advising hours, go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?5278
* The Research Compliance Office will hold a come-and-go open lab from 9-11 a.m. today (Wednesday, Dec. 21) in Devlin Hall Innovation Hub. This is an open lab and no registration is required.
* Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes is open late this Thursday, Dec. 22, as the Shockers host South Dakota State in men's basketball. If you have a game ticket, then celebrate pre-game with our standard game day specials. If not, then hang around all evening long and enjoy the game as it airs on all of our screens. Game time is 7 p.m.
* The University Bookstore's Procrastination Sale will be held from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23. Shop and save 30 percent off WSU imprinted merchandise, some exclusions apply. Sale is in store only.
* Sign up for the Cooking Class hosted by Young Shocker Professionals (YSP) and pay your $15 by Wednesday, Jan. 4. Contact rebecca.curran@wichita.edu to RSVP and make payment arrangements. We'll learn from one of our Indian students how to make Chili Chicken, a delicious, semi-spicy dish that you can customize. We'll use the woks in the International Kitchen at Shocker Dining. The class will be after work from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6. After the lesson, we'll sit down to eat our creations along with your choice of red or white wine. Membership in YSP is not required to attend this event.
