Martha L. Lewis, director of TRIO Disability Support Services, retires

Martha L. Lewis retired from Wichita State on Dec. 31. She joined TRIO Disability Support Services in 2001 as an academic advisor and later became director. During her time at WSU she has served hundreds of students with disabilities and graduates. Lewis has received numerous awards, including the Phenomenal Woman Award, Leaders in Diversity Award and the Wayne Carlisle Distinguished Service Award in 2014. She was employed at Wichita State for 15 years. Lewis is currently the Women's Association president. She graduated from WSU in 1995 with a bachelor's in social work, and a master's in social work from the University of Kansas in 1996. In retirement, Lewis plans to take life as it comes.
