* Starting this spring 2017, second semester freshmen will have access to Guide -- a free app that helps steer students toward academic success. * WSU is working with AACRAO Consulting on a strategic enrollment management (SEM) plan over the course of this year. The topic of the next SEM Workshop is Helping Students Succeed. Faculty and staff are encouraged to attend from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, in the East Beggs Ballroom, RSC. A light lunch will be provided. * To assist students with registration, fee payment and financial aid questions during the weeks of Jan. 9 and Jan. 17, the Office of the Registrar, Office of Financial Aid, Accounts Receivable and Undergraduate Admissions will offer extended hours from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Assistance is also available for students through OneStop in 122 Jabara Hall from 8 a.m.- 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 8 a.m-5 p.m. Fridays or at 1-855-WSU1STP.

* Classrooms across campus are equipped with consistent, standard technology and A/V equipment. The technology is locked with a consistent key that will work in all classrooms (except Devlin Hall). Faculty and staff can get a key by attending a short training session. Faculty are encouraged to make sure their assigned rooms have the technology they need. * WSU Ventures is accepting applications for the Jumpstart Kansas Entrepreneurs competition, which will award six businesses, innovators and entrepreneurs up to $10,000 each for high-potential technology ideas, devices, methods and applications. The competition seeks to identify and award Kansas-based individuals and / or companies. The application is available at http://www.wsuventures.org/funding-opportunities and is open until Monday, Jan. 23. The top applicants will pitch to a panel of judges on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at WSU.
