* The Transition to Teaching program at Wichita State is a two-year alternative licensure program that combines graduate coursework and full-time, paid teaching in an accredited school as the classroom teacher of record. Informational meetings regarding the program will be held from 2-3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, and Saturday, Feb. 4, in 156C Corbin Education Center. * Shocker Athletics invites all WSU schools, departments and groups to participate in its 2017 Job Fair during the women's basketball Back to School Night on Friday, Jan. 20. Registration is free for all campus participants. This is a great opportunity to promote jobs and internships available for the current and upcoming semesters. The event is from 6 p.m. (doors open for the game) until halftime. If your department or organization would like to reserve a spot in the Job Fair, RSVP to Shae Fournier at marketing@goshockers.com by 5 p.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 18).

* WSU is working with AACRAO Consulting on a strategic enrollment management (SEM) plan over the course of this year. The topic of the next SEM Workshop is Helping Students Succeed. Faculty and staff are encouraged to attend from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, in the East Beggs Ballroom, RSC. A light lunch will be provided. * The 2016 W-2 forms are now available for viewing and printing through the State of Kansas Employee Self Service. If you have consented to receive your W-2 electronically, you may access your W-2 by going to the State of Kansas Employee Self Service Center at http://www.da.ks.gov/ps/subject/ssc/, clicking on "Click here to sign in," and logging in. * The Office of Research will hold a Conflicts of Interest workshop at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, in 405 Jardine Hall. The workshop will cover conflicts of interest and financial conflict of interest reporting required by public health service agencies and management plans. * The Research Compliance Office will hold a come-and-go open lab from 9-11 a.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 18) in Devlin Hall Innovation Hub. This is an open lab, and no registration is required.

* The campus community is invited to join Vice President John Tomblin for an Innovation Campus update and Q&A at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, in the CAC Theater. Tomblin will outline recent developments on the WSU Innovation Campus. There will be time for questions and feedback from the campus community.
