* WSU will host renowned pianist Albert Tiu for a free piano recital, "Sonatas by Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff," at 7:30 p.m. today (Monday, Jan. 23) in Wiedemann Hall. The recital, which is open to the public, will be followed by a Master Class from Tiu from 10 a.m.-noon tomorrow (Tuesday, Jan. 24) in room C-116 Duerksen Fine Arts Center. The Master Class is also free and open to the public.
* Community Service Board is dedicated to passionate service together. Visit 20 different community-based organizations from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. today (Monday, Jan. 23) on the first floor, RSC, and learn more about volunteer opportunities in the Wichita metro community. * Applications are being sought for Wichita State's 2017 Senior Honor Men and Women awards, one of the most prestigious honors a student can receive at WSU. Up to five men and five women are chosen for this honor each year. To review the eligibility requirements and application process, go to http://www.wichita.edu/seniorhonor. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13.
* The 2016 W-2 forms are now available for viewing and printing through the State of Kansas Employee Self Service. If you have consented to receive your W-2 electronically, you may access your W-2 by going to the State of Kansas Employee Self Service Center at http://www.da.ks.gov/ps/subject/ssc/, clicking on "Click here to sign in," and logging in. * The Graduate School's Professional Development Series invites all WSU students, graduate and undergraduate, to the event, "Job Search, Social Media and You," from 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, in 266 RSC. Torie Wynn from Instructional Design and Technology will explain new ways students can successfully use social media platforms and build an online presence.
* The following parking lot closures have been announced for today (Monday, Jan. 23)-Saturday, Jan. 28:
30 stalls will be closed in lot 24 south of 17th Street today (Monday, Jan. 23)
25 stalls will be closed in lot 19E by Eck Stadium from Tuesday, Jan. 24-Saturday, Jan. 28
50 stalls will be closed in lot 24 south of 17th Street on Friday, Jan. 27
