* Join the Counseling & Testing Center again this semester for Keep Calm & Breathe On. Drop in to build structured relaxation time into your life and learn techniques to do relaxation on your own. You will be led in meditation, mindfulness and relaxation practices. The meetings are from 12:15-12:45 p.m. every Wednesday starting today (Jan. 25) in 257 RSC.
* In recognition of Human Trafficking Awareness Month, the WSU Center for Combating Human Trafficking presents the Human Trafficking Awareness Month Scavenger Hunt. We will host a scavenger hunt from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 25) in the RSC, to provide students a fun opportunity to learn more about human trafficking, how it affects them and how they can combat it.
* The Graduate School's Professional Development Series invites all WSU students, graduate and undergraduate, to the event, "Job Search, Social Media and You," from 5-6:30 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Jan. 26) in 266 RSC. Torie Wynn from Instructional Design and Technology will explain new ways students can successfully use social media platforms and build an online presence.
* Nominations are now being accepted for the President's Award for Distinguished Service for Unclassified Professionals. The nomination form and instructions can be found under the Featured Links on the Unclassified Professional Senate website at http://www.wichita.edu/upsenate. Nominations are due by Monday, Jan. 30.
* WSU students, faculty, staff and Campus Rec members, don't miss the chance to sign up for intramural tourneys and leagues. The deadline is today (Wednesday, Jan. 25) at http://www.imleagues.com/wichita
* Join the Community Service Board (CSB) at our first Food Bank Friday this semester from 2-4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27. Carpooling will be coordinated with departures from the RSC starting at 1:30 p.m. Volunteers will support the Food4Kids backpack program and help with bulk food packaging. * Help make a difference in a child's life. Join us for a fundraiser to aid those with autism and speech, language and hearing disorders. Proceeds support the children at WSU's Evelyn Hendren Cassat Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic, a RiteCare Clinic.
