ORA launches stimulus Web page

On Feb. 17, President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (or stimulus package) to restart the economy. The package contains about $21.5 billion reserved for federal funding for science, engineering research and infrastructure, and more limited funding for education, social sciences and the arts. The stimulus funding provides large increases in federal support for research, education, job development, infrastructure and many other areas that are important to WSU.

The Office of Research Administration has launched a Web page designed to provide WSU administrators and researchers with important links and current information on the ARRA and outlines some of the critical issues where we are awaiting guidance. At this time, few details are known on how agencies will set up their funding programs, and not all agencies have finalized their plans, so checking agency Web sites is highly recommended.
