CTRE to host webinar on learning styles

The Center for Teaching and Research Excellence will host the webinar "Learning Styles: Fact and Folklore for eLearning" from noon-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, in the ITV Classroom at the Media Resources Center. The webinar asks the question, "Do learning styles really matter?," and uses 30 years of empirical research to illustrate how learner traits interact with instructional methods, and how we can use good instructional design to enhance our courses. Although targeted at online courses, much of the information will be relevant to "live" courses, too; all are encouraged to attend. Light refreshments will be available.
