Reminders, deadlines and events

* Wichita State will host renowned pianist Albert Tiu for a free piano recital, "Sonatas by Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff," at 7:30 p.m. today (Monday, Jan. 23) in Wiedemann Hall.

* Student Success will host a syllabus party to help students with time management and organizing their class assignments and exams for the semester. Stop by anytime between 11 a.m.-2 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, Jan. 24) in 142 RSC, with your syllabi and we will walk you through the rest.

* The Counseling & Testing Center is offering multiple groups for students, faculty and staff, and all groups are free to attend. * The Media Resources Center is looking for student media technicians to join the team. Student media technicians assist with troubleshooting classroom AV technology, setting up live events, handling AV equipment checkouts and more. * Student Governement Association is currently accepting applications for Election Commission and various senate positions. Applications for Election Commission are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, and applications for senate are due tomorrow (Tuesday, Jan. 24). * Mad Chad has appeared on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno as well as "Last Call" with Carson Daly. He holds a Guinness World Record for juggling chainsaws. He will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, in the CAC Theater. Admission is free to WSU students with Shocker ID.

* Because of construction of the parking garage south of Rhatigan Student Center, the Zip Cars moved to lot 9W in front of Ahlberg Hall.

* Parking lot 16S southwest of Duerksen Fine Arts Center has been designated yellow parking only. Once the parking garage construction south of Rhatigan Student Center is completed, the lot will revert back to yellow / green. http://www.wichita.edu/parking
