* An additional training session has been added for those involved in editing / approving the upcoming catalog using the new CourseLeaf software. The session will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow (Friday, Jan. 27) in 124 Jabara Hall. This training is a two-hour, hands-on opportunity to learn the program and have questions answered. * Homecoming 2017: Paint the Town Yellow will be next week (Jan. 30-Feb. 4), and the WSU Alumni Association challenges all campus departments to show their Shocker spirit by participating in the Campus Decorations contest. Entry forms must be received by 5 p.m. tomorrow (Friday, Jan. 27). Decorations must be up by Monday, Jan. 30, and should remain up for the duration of Homecoming week. * Nominations are now being accepted for the President's Award for Distinguished Service for University Support Staff. The nomination form and instructions can be found at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?5333. Nominations are due by tomorrow (Friday, Jan. 27).

* Biomedical Engineering and the Graduate School are sponsoring a research seminar, "Aberrant RNA Processing Mechanisms in Cancer" at 1 p.m. tomorrow (Friday, Jan. 27) in 127 Jabara Hall. The guest speaker will be Jeremy Sanford, associate professor in the Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at the University of California Santa Cruz.

* Nominations are now being accepted for the President's Award for Distinguished Service for Unclassified Professionals. * The College of Engineering needs volunteer judges to help with the 17th Annual Shocker Mindstorms Robotics Challenge, a competition for teams of 3rd-8th grade students on Saturday, March 11, in the Heskett Center.
