Airbus employees, WSU students, faculty and staff are invited to a seminar from 4-5 p.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 1) in 264 Experiential Engineering Building, with special guest Larry Ilcewicz, chief scientific and technical advisor for composites at the Federal Aviation Administration. He will present "Past Experiences and Future Trends for Composite Aircraft Structures." Topics covered will include product development, certification, production, service difficulties, critical design, manufacturing, maintenance, cost issues, damage tolerance, technical challenges/barriers to expansion and career opportunities related to new applications.
