Reminders, deadlines and events

* Join the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) student chapter at 2 p.m. today (Monday, Feb. 6) in 102 Engineering Building. Pizza and beverages will be provided along with information on how joining SME can benefit you as a student and jump-start your career. Special guest Adam Lynch, owner of Premier Processing Inc., will talk about career critical success factors. All majors are welcome.

* Join the Title IX Student Alliance and discover how you can make a difference. The group meets at 7 p.m. the first and last Tuesday of the month in 202 RSC. The next meeting is tomorrow (Tuesday, Feb. 7). Free food precedes the meeting at 6:30 p.m.

* Airbus is accepting student proposals to refurbish and mount an A320 wing, and the winning WSU student or team will receive a $2,000 cash prize. Details will be announced at a briefing in the lobby of the Airbus building on campus at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10. The winning proposal will be implemented and displayed in the Airbus lobby. * The WSU accelerated nursing class fundraiser includes a prize drawing, with products and services from Eric Fisher Salon. To enter the drawing, go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?5351. * Join Student Body President Joseph Shepard for coffee from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, in 203 RSC. Stop by and personally ask him any questions or voice any of your concerns.

* The RSC is sponsoring a food drive for the Shocker Food Locker on campus. From today (Monday, Feb. 6) to Friday, Feb. 10, drop off items in the donation bins at the north and south entrances to the RSC. For every item donated, University Dining Services will match it with another item for the Shocker Food Locker. * Currently enrolled WSU students are invited to Dine / Dress / Interview from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday or Thursday, Feb. 22 or 23, at the Wichita Country Club. Business professional dress is required.
