* KMUW is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year with a series of stories that focus on Wichita history. The first, covering the history of downtown development, airs at 7:50 a.m. and 9:50 a.m. today (Thursday, May 7) during Morning Edition. Listen for KMUW's Jedd Beaudoin and his report on the past and future of downtown.

* Correction: An incorrect time was given in Wednesday's WSU Today for a '50s birthday party. The correct time for the '50s birthday party is 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Monday, May 11, in Shocker Square, first floor in the RSC.

* WSU alum Tanya Monforte, a professor of law at the American University at Cairo, will present "Getting Into and Surviving Law School" at 1 p.m. today (Thursday, May 7) in 209 Hubbard Hall. Monforte also will present "Violent Subjects: Conflict and the Human Rights of the Child" at 1 p.m. Friday, May 8, in 100 Lindquist Hall.
