Lecture Series in Mathematical Sciences presents Elizabeth Clarkson

The Lecture Series in Mathematical Sciences will present Wichita State's Elizabeth Clarkson at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, in 127 Jabara Hall. Come for refreshments before the lecture at 2:30 p.m. in 353 Jabara Hall. Clarkson will present "Exit polls in Southeast Kansas show electronic vote counts were altered."

Five citizens' exit polls were run in southeast Kansas during the Nov. 8, 2016, election. These surveys were designed to detect altered official counts and could detect anomalous discrepancies of less than 2 percent.

In many races, the deviation from official results was considerably larger. Results are strong and clear. All five polling locations in Southeast Kansas show evidence of electronic election fraud in both the pattern and size of the errors between the official results and exit poll results. There is no reasonable explanation for these discrepancies other than deliberate rigging of the electronic vote counts. However, the discrepancies were not sufficient to alter the race outcomes for the state and county-wide races.

Outcomes of local races are more likely to have been impacted by such manipulations, but the quality of data from the exit polls on those races is insufficient to draw firm conclusions.
