Congratulations to the WSU Child Development Center on being awarded the Gold Level Breastfeeding Employee Support Award. This award recognizes businesses that provide support services to their breastfeeding employees, to include education as well as the time and space for employees to nurse and / or pump breastmilk at their workplace. This support is essential for families to meet their breastfeeding goals as mothers return to work. We're proud that WSU South, the Community Engagement Institute and Child Development Center have all received this recognition. The Wichita Area Breastfeeding Coalition, in partnership with the Kansas Academy of Family Physicians, have resources for businesses that wish to develop worksite lactation support in the Wichita area.
