* All faculty and instructors are invited to discuss the state of diversity in the WSU curriculum with Provost Tony Vizzini at a lunch from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, in 233 RSC. Please RSVP to janis.hudson@wichita.edu by Tuesday, Feb. 14, and share this invitation with other faculty whom you feel would be interested in attending.

* For those who use Leave Time Entry, the approval period has been shortened to coincide with the two-week pay period effective with the current pay period #4 (1/29/17 to 2/11/17). This is necessary to ensure accurate leave accrual balances. Approvals for this pay period need to be completed by close of business on Friday, Feb. 10. For questions, email timekeeping@wichita.edu.

* The Office of Research will hold a workshop on grant budget development at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, in 405 Jardine Hall. Caleb Loss, contracts manager, will address topics such as allowable costs vs unallowable costs, WSU rates, travel, how to build flexibility into budgets, cost match and indirect cost recovery. Registration is available at https://mywsu.wichita.edu through the myTraining portal. For more information, contact Jana Henderson at 978-5313 or jana.henderson@wichita.edu.

* Student Health Services has the flu vaccine for all faculty and staff for just $10 while supplies last. Vaccines are still free for students. Get your vaccine from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays in 209 Ahlberg Hall.

* Applications are being sought for Wichita State's 2016 Senior Honor Men and Women awards by 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13. To review the eligibility requirements and application process, go to http://www.wichita.edu/seniorhonor.

* Stop by a table inside the main entrance in the middle of the RSC from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 8) and Thursday, Feb. 9, and fill in the reason why you love Wichita State on a postcard. The main objective with this special admissions campaign is to provide a personalized message and greeting to each admitted student from the campus community that will embrace them as new Shockers in the fall.

* Shocker Blast is the email newsletter for WSU students. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/shockerblast to see the current edition.
