Reminders, deadlines, events and Shocker Blast

* Applications are being sought for Wichita State's 2016 Senior Honor Men and Women awards by 5 p.m. today (Monday, Feb. 13). To review the eligibility requirements and application process, go to http://www.wichita.edu/seniorhonor.

* Amendments to the Unclassified Professionals Senate Constitution and Mission Statement requires a passing vote from WSU Unclassified Professionals. Please review the proposed changes and vote before 7 p.m. today (Monday, Feb. 13).
- Log on to myWSU and locate the UP Senate Constitution & Mission Statement Vote option on the Faculty/Staff tab under Employee Toolbox, Surveys/Elections.
- Links to the PDF showing the changes and Senator contact information are located at the top of the ballot. If you have any problems, email UPSenatePres@wichita.edu.

* Encourage undergraduates to complete the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), which guides decisions that will benefit our students. Email invitations will be sent to students starting tomorrow (Tuesday, Feb. 14) with a final reminder Tuesday, March 14. For information, contact Rick Muma at richard.muma@wichita.edu.

* The Office of Research's monthly Institutional Review Board (IRB) Open Lab is at 10 a.m. today (Monday, Feb. 13) in 405 Jardine Hall. The lab is designed for researchers to discuss IRB forms and questions about proposed or current studies.

* Today (Monday, Feb. 13) the city of Wichita will begin work on phase one of a major construction project that will expand the capacity of the 21st Street and Oliver intersection. Both streets will be one lane in each direction. Left turns will be prohibited on all four approaches to the intersection.

* Future Health Care Professionals and FarmHouse Fraternity will host a bone marrow registry drive from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, Feb. 14) in the Ahlberg Hall lobby and RSC. Registration is as simple as filling out a form and swabbing the inside of your cheek. Please join us in the fight against blood cancer this Valentine's Day.

* The Flats at WSU are now leasing! This brand new apartment complex on Mike Oatman Drive is the latest addition to the Innovation Campus and will be ready for residents to move in starting Aug. 1. * The annual WSU Pre-Retirement Planning Seminar will be held from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, March 16. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. One guest is welcome.
