* WSU students can pick up free men's basketball tickets for the home game against Missouri State tomorrow (Thursday, Feb. 9) in Charles Koch Arena. Current WSU students can claim a free ticket to each home game by presenting their valid Shocker Card (multiple student ID's are no longer accepted) at the Shocker Ticket Office in the southwest corner of Charles Koch Arena.

* Join Student Body President Joseph Shepard for coffee from 12:30-1:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 8) in 203 RSC. Stop by and personally ask him any questions or voice any of your concerns.

* Join the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) as we hear Robert E. Weems, Jr., the Willard W. Garvey Distinguished Professor of Business History at Wichita State, as he discusses the rise and fall of black-owned businesses both locally and nationally. Weems will present, "Whatever Happened to Black Insurance Companies? The Decline and Disappearance of an African American Community Institution," at 6 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Feb. 9) in 208 Hubbard Hall.

* The WSU School of Music announces a special master class to be given by world-famous jazz composer and tenor saxophonist Benny Golson from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, in C104 Duerksen Fine Arts Center. Admission is free.

* Join SAC at its first dinner and movie event featuring "Valentine's Day" on Friday, Feb. 10, in Shirley Beggs Ballroom, third floor, RSC. Check-in will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner and live entertainment to follow. The movie begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale until the night of the event at http://www.wichita.edu/sac and are $5 for WSU students. The "Valentine's Day" movie is rated PG-13 by the MPAA for some sexual material and brief partial nudity.
