* TRIO Disability Support Services is hosting a Disability Rights Workshop from 3-4 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 1). Please note that the location has changed to 101 Lindquist Hall.
* The President's Distinguished Service Awards and the unclassified professionals' Wayne Carlisle Distinguished Service Award will be presented during the Shocker Pride Celebration Tuesday, March 14, in the Shirley Beggs Ballroom, third floor, RSC. There will be a reception to meet and greet the honorees at 3 p.m., followed by the awards presentation at 3:30 p.m. Respond to the Shocker Pride Celebration invitation and confirm attendance by Tuesday, March 7, at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?5401. * KPERS offers live webinars to employees with KPERS and KP&F retirement plans to help them review their benefit options. Topics covered include choosing a date, calculating your benefit, steps to retire, payment options, taxes and much more. Participants must pre-register and be within five years of retirement. * An SBIR / STTR Proposal Preparation workshop will be held from 8:15 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, March 10, in the Lucas Room, RSC. The cost is $20 for faculty / staff and $5 for students. The fee includes lunch. SBIR / STTR Phase 1 Proposal Preparation will be presented by Jim Greenwood with Greenwood Consulting Group Inc.
