Reminders, deadlines and events

* Register online for the 4th Annual Gender & Sexuality in Kansas Conference by today (Monday, Feb. 27) at http://www.wichita.edu/genderconference. The conference will be held Friday, March 3, in the RSC. The conference is free for students, faculty, staff and interested community members.

* The Kansas Association of Nursing Students (KANS) at WSU invites you to a spaghetti feed from noon-1 p.m. today (Monday, Feb. 27) on the second floor, Ahlberg Hall. The suggested donation is $5, with proceeds going to support KANS.

* Do you or someone you know have trouble reaching out for help when it comes to mental health? Do you know what the signs look like when people reach out to ask you for help? Come learn about and discuss this important topic at the Mind Matters general assembly meeting at 3 p.m. today (Monday, Feb. 27) in 257 RSC.

* OneStop Student Services' campus office will be closed now to Friday, March 3, as we move to 112 Jardine Hall. We will reopen in the new location on Monday, March 6. Students will have access to 24/7 support with admissions, financial aid, records/registration and student accounts by calling 855-978-1787. * WSU's Biology Department will host a seminar from 4-5 p.m. today (Monday, Feb. 27) in 218 Hubbard Hall. Laura Mendenhall, Fish and Wildlife biologist at U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Wichita, will present "Challenges to endangered species recovery: The California Condor."

* WSU's A Cappella Choir and Women's Glee Club will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. today (Monday, Feb. 27) in Wiedemann Concert Hall, with special guests, the Wichita Northwest High School Madrigals. Tickets are free to students with WSU ID.

* David Embrick, associate professor in Sociology and African Studies at the University of Connecticut, will present "What Does Diversity Look Like in 21st Century America?: Diversity Ideology and Thinking About 'Real' Change," at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, Feb. 28) in 209 Hubbard Hall. The talk is sponsored by the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and President's Diversity Council.
