WuShock to present gift bag to Facebook friend No. 5,000
In honor of the occasion, the media are invited to see the Wichita State University mascot present a gift bag to Gabby White, a Maize High School freshman, at 2 p.m. today (Monday, May 18) in the front office at Maize H.S.
White will be presented with a bag containing a variety of Shocker attire —a shirt, pom pon, foam finger, car sticker, lanyard, key chain, mug, Frisbee and a special WuShock hat.
In less than a year, WuShock's friends on Facebook have risen from about 500 to 5,000. And reaching 5,000 friends is no small feat. According to Facebook, fewer than 1,000 users had 5,000 friends as of spring 2008.
