* The Graduate School will continue its Professional Development Series with "Surviving Graduate School," at 3 p.m. tomorrow (Friday, March 10) in 266 RSC. Get practical advice from a faculty member and psychologist with the Counseling and Testing Center, plus tips and techniques for managing stress. There will be snacks. * Applications are being accepted now to Friday, March 31, for the 2017-18 cohort of the Online Faculty Fellows (OLFF). * Grading for spring 2017 first eight-week courses opened yesterday (Wednesday, March 8). Faculty can access the Banner 9 grading form via the Teach/Advise tab in the myWSU portal. Grades for any class officially ending by Saturday, March 11, can be entered during this grading period. Grades are due by 10 p.m. Thursday, March 16. A grading email with further details was sent to faculty and staff who are flagged as eligible instructors in Banner. Questions about grading can be directed to the Office of the Registrar at 978-3090.
* The Regional Institute on Aging announces the availability of two graduate research assistantships (GRAs). The goal of the Graduate Research Assistantship Program is to provide support to faculty investigators and enhance their efforts to develop and expand programs of research in aging and in aging related questions at WSU. * WSU is proud to be the only university in Kansas to offer the Osher Reentry Scholarship Program for returning adult students. The scholarships are designed to help undergraduate students who have experienced a five-year cumulative gap in their education. Scholarships of up to $2,500 per year ($1250/semester) are available for qualified candidates. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/osher for more information and to apply.
