Many campus buildings to be affected by water service shutdown during spring break

Many campus buildings will be affected by a City of Wichita water service maintenance shutdown on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 21-22. The shutdown is necessary to replace aged and inoperable isolation valves on the 24-inch water main that crosses the campus from 17th Street to and through the water tower and up to 21st Street. The affected buildings will be Ahlberg Hall, Beggs Hall, original Pizza Hut, Physical Plant greenhouses, Central Energy Plant, Beech Wind Tunnel, Visual Communications Building, Aviation Testing Laboratory, Wallace Hall, Ablah Library, Media Resources Center, Lindquist Hall, Grace-Wilkie Hall and Annex, Printing and Publications, Campus Credit Union, University Police Building, Wilkins Stadium and Eck Stadium main grandstand. Restrooms, water fountains, kitchenette sinks, service sinks and process equipment cooling water systems will be out of service throughout the above buildings on those days.
