There will be an extended weekend electrical power outage affecting Ahlberg Hall, Neff Hall, Geology Building and Engineering Building from 1 p.m. Friday, May 29, through Sunday, May 31. The outage is required to facilitate utility work on the replacement of a campus underground branch switch and Ahlberg Hall building transformer. Occupants of those buildings should take precautions with computers and power-sensitive equipment prior to the shutdown. Power will be restored in time for activities to resume in the affected buildings on Monday, June 1. Physical Plant regrets any inconveniences, but believes the new switch and transformer will benefit the campus power distribution system.
