* In support of the new parking garage under construction south of RSC, Dondlinger Construction has asked ITS to help move conduits containing fiber optic cabling. During this activity Dondlinger will interrupt the cable and reroute it away from the foundation of the new parking garage, at which time circuits on those cables will have a low likelihood of disruption. ITS has mitigated the risk of impact to data and voice services by moving services to other routes around campus for the duration of the move so that impacts are very unlikely, but possible. However, ITS will have staff available to monitor and address any problem should one arise.

* WSU Fire / Safety along with a vendor will be testing the fire sprinkler systems on campus this week. The fire alarms will sound in the building being tested for a short period.

* The University Bookstore is taking orders for doctorate and specialist students who need regalia for Spring 2017 Commencement. The deadline to purchase custom regalia has passed but rental orders are still being accepted without penalty through 4 p.m. Friday, March 24. Call Julie at 316-978-7021 or email her at bookstore@wichita.edu to place your order or if you have any questions. Payment is due when you place your order. Orders placed after the deadline will incur additional shipping and handling charges.

* The President's Budget Advisory Committee has launched a simple web form to gather money-saving and revenue-generating ideas that can positively impact the university's budget. Ideas collected from the form will be assessed by the committee and the most promising of them will be publicly posted on a WSU Idea Generator blog to seek public comment and gauge interest. * Enjoy a walking tour of campus while learning about buildings, commonly used resources and information on history, traditions and campus folklore. It is an excellent opportunity to have fun and get excited about WSU.
