The Office of First-Year Programs recently attended the NODA Midwest Regional Conference in Dallas. The 22 Transition Mentors attended conference sessions and activities to learn about their role and impact on new students. Transition Mentors Sierra Bonn, a junior biomedical engineering major, and Alexis Thuston, a junior education major, were selected to be undergraduate conference presenters. Their presentation, "Dealing with a Villain on your Superhero Staff," was awarded the 2017 overall best undergraduate conference presentation in the region.
