'Homeland Security in the Age of Global Terrorism' tomorrow (Thursday, March 30)

Robert Bonner is the senior principal of the Sentinel HS Group, LLC, a Washington, D.C.-based homeland security and data analytics consulting firm that provides strategic advice regarding homeland and border security issues and the use of automated data to identify risks. Bonner will present "Homeland Security in the Age of Global Terrorism," at 11 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday, March 30) in the Marcus Welcome Center. The talk is part of the Barton School of Business James P. Schwartz Lecture Series.

Bonner served as the first Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the agency of the Department of Homeland Security responsible for managing and securing the U.S. borders. Prior to that, his public service included Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Commissioner of the U.S Customs Service, U.S. District Judge and the United States Attorney for the Central District of California.

The James P. Schwartz Memorial Lecture Series was created to honor James Schwartz, a 1962 graduate of WSU. Schwartz died in 1973 when he was struck by lightning at Crestview Country Club. This memorial lecture series was established to honor his life, work and commitment to business education.
