* SGA is offering a free legal services pilot program. Use this free resource from 2-5 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, March 28) in 258 RSC, to consult with a local attorney on any issue that you may have as a student or citizen. * The President's Budget Advisory Committee has launched a simple web form to gather money-saving and revenue-generating ideas that can positively impact the university's budget. Ideas collected from the form will be assessed by the committee and the most promising of them will be publicly posted on a WSU Idea Generator blog to seek public comment and gauge interest. * Graduate faculty and students are invited to our first Graduate Student Appreciation Week Sunday, April 2-Friday, April 7. These events are free for graduate students and graduate coordinators. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?5439 for more information.
* The Safety Assessment Program from May 1-3, a collaboration between SGA (Student Government Association) and UPD (University Police Department), is purposed to assess the level of safety and security on campus through various review and testing procedures. * Do you want to do something more than homework with your weekend? Join Community Service Board and Thrive Allen County for a Weekend Immersion trip filled with service and learning about the revitalization taking place in that area Saturday and Sunday, April 1-2. Projects include planting parks, restoring historical buildings and beautifying community areas. There is no cost to attend. * We've teamed up with Uber to make getting around town easier than ever before. Throughout the semester, WSU students can request free rides (up to $14 each) on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Go to https://www.uber.com/info/wsu/ to sign up.
* The Council of University Women Scholarship is awarded without regard to financial need. Preference will be given to graduate or undergraduate women with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
